Spirit and Truth Family,
Monday is the day we observe the King Holiday. I am so grateful for our legacy of involvement in Civil Rights past and present. As we say Happy Birthday to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., let us continue to model the "Beloved Community" he dreamed of.
This quote is one of my favorites and lets us know we are helping to make Dr. King's dream a reality:
"Every nation must now develop an overriding loyalty to mankind as a whole in order to preserve the best in their individual societies. This call for a worldwide fellowship that lifts neighborly concern beyond one's tribe, race, class, and nation is in reality a call for an all-embracing and unconditional love for all mankind... When I speak of love I am not speaking of some sentimental and weak response. I am not speaking of that force which is just emotional bosh. I am speaking of that force which all of the great religions have seen as the supreme unifying principle of life. Love is somehow the key that unlocks the door which leads to ultimate reality. This Hindu-Muslim-Christian-Jewish-Buddhist belief about ultimate reality is beautifully summed up in the first epistle of Saint John: "Let us love one another, for love is God."
AMEN!!! And so it is!

I embrace the wisdom that 2012 brought to me. The good the bad and the ugly of 2012 have all worked together for my good. I begin 2013 wiser and stronger and better and healthier and wealthier. 2013 will be the greatest year of my life!
