Letter from Pastor D. E. Paulk

Spirit and Truth Sanctuary,

Wow! Our “Breaking Generational Curses” Series was both powerful and life changing. So many of our members have shared their testimonies with me of how this series has impacted them to create a life of joy and peace for themselves... and for the generations that will follow them. I am so honored to be a part of a spiritual community that is becoming more empowered and enlightened each time we gather.

Summer is here!!! And, as many families are planning to vacation and be out of town for one or more Sundays it is imperative that we remain healthy and strong at Spirit and Truth Sanctuary. Our Spiritual Practice is made up of several elements which keep us connected to Spirit and to each other. Gathering for worship, sacred service, fellowship with like-minded truth seekers, and deep study... are all key to our spiritual growth. A very vital part of our Spiritual Practice (especially during the Summer months) is our commitment to our tithes and offerings. In an effort to be good stewards of the vision God has entrusted into our care I am sending you several tithe/offering envelopes to enable you to send your givings by mail if you must be absent from our Sunday services. Most churches suffer financially during the Summer months. Let us agree together that Spirit and Truth Sanctuary will remain strong and solvent this Summer!

Allow me to make you aware of several events that will be taking place at Spirit and Truth this Summer:

• Sunday, June 3rd, we celebrate Pastor Don Paulk’s 80th birthday!
• Sunday, June 10th, we will open the doors of the church to receive New Members.
• Sunday, June 17th, is Father’s Day! Let’s celebrate the love of all of our earthly and spiritual fathers.
• July 13-16 our Fusion Student Ministry will be going to Epworth by the Sea for their Summer Youth Camp.
• Sunday, August 5th, we will celebrate Pastor Clariece Paulk’s 80th birthday! Bishop Carlton Pearson will be speaking that morning and will also be with us that evening to join Pastor Clariece in her 80th Birthday Concert Celebration.

I look forward to sharing all of these special days with you this Summer!

LIFE in 2018. FIRST THINGS. NEW BEGINNINGS. NEW LIFE. BLESSING.

In the Hebrew tradition, the number 18 represents the blessing of life and the blessing is for life. That means we are blessed and we will be blessed for a lifetime. 2018 will be a year of LIFE and BLESSING at Spirit and Truth Sanctuary. 1 - is the number of FIRST THINGS. 8 - is the number for NEW BEGINNINGS. As we remember to keep first things first we are going to experience a new beginning and new life as a spiritual community. ~D.E. Paulk
